Kia shared the first official images of its new generation electric car EV6. The Kia EV6 is the first model to reflect the company’s new design philosophy called ‘Opposites United’.
The interior and exterior design of the electric Kia EV6 is quite different from the models in the company’s current product range. In this new design language, which we say goodbye to the famous ‘tiger nose’ shutter design on the front, the lights equipped with modern looking LED daytime running lights are connected to each other with a thin black panel. Kia calls this new design on the front end ‘Digital Tiger Face’. In the lower part of the bumper is the lower louver that optimizes the air flow and visually makes the EV6 wider.
On the side of the Kia EV6, we see details that create a crossover air, such as the black inserts on the fenders and sills. In addition, the side mirror covers and columns are designed in black, contrasting with the body color. In addition, hidden door handles and aerodynamically designed wheels are among the details we encounter in this area. Finally, the rear window appears to be a bit small, with the roof lowering back and the shoulder line raising.

At the rear, we see the taillights extending all the way in the form of a thin strip, which extends to the wheels. We have also seen through the videos shared before that there are welcoming and leaving graphics in the front and back lights. Apart from that, the shiny black diffuser with luggage spoiler and air ducts is also among the striking details in the rear of the EV6.

New Kia EV6It will be the first Kia model to use the E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) platform. In this way, it will offer a larger interior volume compared to vehicles built on the existing platform. In this area, we see that the instrument and infotainment screens are positioned adjacent to the console. The design of the air vents is extended along the console, creating a beautiful unity. On the center console, details such as the start-stop button, gear selector, wireless smartphone charging unit and cup holders are included.
The technical details of the electric Kia EV6 are not yet clear, but all information will soon emerge as the vehicle will be officially introduced in March. On the technical side, we can expect it to have similar features to its cousin Hyundai Ioniq 5. The model in question also offers a four-wheel drive option, as well as battery options of 58 and 72.6 kWh. Ioniq 5 offers a driving range of up to 480 kilometers compared to WLTP with its front-wheel drive version and large battery option.
